Today was my final day as a student with the MedEx Academy program/ relationship. Over the past four tiers, I have grown immensely in my healthcare knowledge, in my compassion for serving others, in my desire to help those who are most vulnerable, and in my awareness of recognizing when things are not fair/ trying to fix that. I am SO thankful for MedEx Academy, especially considering that I do not have any healthcare professionals within my family. I needed the guidance that this program/ relationship could offer. I needed the relationships that I made. MedEx was a wonderful experience on my journey to medical school, and I could talk all day about it (it's not like I have a blog about it or anything :) ).
Thank you to everyone who has made MedEx possible. I am so appreciative for all that you do, whether that be donating financially, running the program, doing things behind the scenes, etc. MedEx would not be the special place/ familial environment it is without your hard work.
I am sad to be moving on from MedEx but know that I will always carry my MedEx family with me in my heart/ I am excited to pursue medical school!
