Today was our virtual mock interview day. During this interview time, we played a Jeopardy!-like game and had a two-on-one mock interview. The Jeopardy! game worked by having 40 different interview questions under different categories and having individuals select a question one at a time then answer that question/ get feedback. I greatly enjoyed hearing everyone's answers to their respective interview questions/ learned a lot about my tier mates. In the mock two-on-one interview, I had the opportunity to practice my interviewing skills in a continuous interview practice, which I enjoyed more than the segmented interview practice we've had previously.

Later in the day, Mr. Al gave a presentation regarding "Standing Up." This talk centered around the difference between being a bystander vs an upstander (someone who speaks up for those who are powerless/ don't have a voice). These conversations were truly brought home to me by watching a commercial from Burger King that displayed how people responded to someone they did not know being bullied vs a burger that they purchased being bullied (95% of people spoke up about the burger that directly impacted them vs 12% for the stranger). We are all the same under the skin, and we must see that everyone is the same, despite external differences.
