Today was the last day of MedEx. One of the activities that we did today was a values game. In the game we wrote down 25 values, memories, people, or places that best represented us until we got down to three. My final three were my mom, my dad, and my faith. Next, we gave out Tier I Superlatives. I was honored to receive the Superlative of "Most Likely to Be Your Boss." Other fun Superlatives that were given out were "Most Likely to Win a Nobel Prize," "Most Likely to Trip at Graduation," and "Most Likely to be on Catfish." To conclude the day, Tier I and III had graduation at the Younts Conference Center at Furman University. The photo above was taken at this event, and it is the graduating class of Tier I of MedEx for 2018! I was so honored to be able to participate in this wonderful program, and I made wonderful friendships with so many of my tier mates. During the ceremony, Tier I and Tier III had elected speakers give a speech about the program. Tier I's speaker was my good friend, Jhonny Villamil. He did an excellent job. After both speeches, the Tier I members walked across the stage in order to receive our certificate of completion. To conclude the ceremony, Mr. Al Squire gave a heartfelt speech regarding MedEx being a relationship, not a program and his sincere desire that all Tier I and III students would return. I want to thank my Tier I interns Madison Williams and Suzie Pace for all of their time and effort that was invested into Tier I. Also, I would like to thank the Program Advisors: Lauren Tyler, Jenny Co, and Hannah Anderson, as well as the Program Coordinator: Sarah Knowles. Last but not least, I want to thank Mr. Al Squire. All of these people contributed to make MedEx a truly phenomenal experience which confirmed my interest in healthcare and that I will not forget.
